This Week in TV:
FX acquires the commercial television premiere rights to several of this fall’s biggest movies, including Thor: The Dark World; Comedy Central pulls the plug on The Jeselnik Offensive after season 2; Aisha Tyler joins a sex drama from producer Ryan Murphy (American Horror Story) called Open at HBO; FXX axes Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell; and Big Bang Theory star Johnny Galecki sells a sitcom pilot titled Here’s Your Damn Family to FOX.
After acquiring the commercial television premiere rights to several of this summer’s biggest theatrical releases earlier this year, FX added to its impressive movie library this week by securing the rights to a slew of fall hits, including Thor: The Dark World.
